Alicante

We spent a fabulous week with the family in Alicante a few years ago.  A couple of hours away from Madrid by train, Alicante boasts a medieval fort towering over a gorgeous Mediterranean beach.  We loved spending the evenings on the promenade along the beach that had wonderful cafes and local vendors.  And in the morning the ancient town has fabulous bakeries and cafe to get you going!  The good life, my friends, the good life.
